About 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer

All men are at risk for prostate cancer, which is easily detected and highly treatable when diagnosed early.

Early Detection, Saves Lives!

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men in the United States. Early stage detection offers many options for treatment and cure. A prostate exam can be the difference between life and death.

Our screening is quick – only 5-10 minutes – and your results will be sent to you in 7-10 days.

Is the Prostate Screening Exam Right for You?

Some of the criteria for getting screened are obvious, such as if you’ve had a history of prostate cancer in your family. Other factors for early detection may include the fact that the risk of prostate cancer is 70% higher in African American men than white men. Advanced Urology Associates provides for a free prostate cancer screening if the below criteria is present and a PSA/DRE have not been performed within the past year:

  • Age 40: Consider baseline PSA
  • Age 45: Annual screening if African American or have a father or brother who had prostate cancer before the age of 65
  • Age 50: Annual Screening

*Screening in men with less than a 10 year life expectancy, either due to age or other illness or disease, is discouraged.
