About the ZERO Prostate Cancer Education and Support Group
Hearing the words “You have prostate cancer” can be scary and overwhelming. Advanced Urology Associates is here to help you navigate your diagnosis and your path forward. One of the ways we do this is by our ZERO Prostate Cancer Support Group powered by ZERO Prostate Cancer led by our very own Nurse Practitioners.

ZERO offers more than 145 support groups nationally and Advanced Urology Associates is honored to host monthly meetings at our Joliet office.
Monthly ZERO Prostate Cancer Support Group meetings
Our meetings are open to any survivors, family members, caregivers, and others interested in prostate cancer, treatment options, and post treatment issues. Our monthly meeting topics will vary and are tailored to bring relevant information to the group. Information is presented by our meeting leaders or guest speakers.

MENtor Program
We understand that newly diagnosed men often want to speak with men who have experience combating the disease! Not only is this an opportunity within our monthly meetings but, we can set you up with a MENtor to offer you support on a one-on-one basis.
We will help pair newly diagnosed cancer patients, or MENtees, with knowledgeable and empathetic MENtors to provide ongoing support to patients as they begin their prostate cancer journey. All of our MENtors are current prostate cancer patients and survivors who come from all walks of life.
MENtors are not medical professionals nor can they provide specific medical advice. If you are interested in being paired with a MENtor or if you would like to become a MENtor, or have additional questions, send us an email at cdefuss@sdvuro.com
