What is Low Testosterone (Low T)?
Testosterone is a hormone produced primarily in the testicles which helps maintain a man’s sex drive, muscle mass, fat distribution, bone density, and body hair.
As men get older testosterone levels gradually decline, typically about 1 percent a year after the age of 30 or 40. In addition, certain medical conditions such as heart, kidney, and liver disease, diabetes, and obesity are contributing factors.
